Home Stretch
Today, I made it to #28 in SciFi Authors, we'll have to see if it last. I've been holding steady around 68 for the last week. Sales are amazing; I don't know what I'm doing right, but I'll keep pretending if you will.
Our house is on a charity home and garden tour today, I'm sure you don't care, but it means that tomorrow my Editor will finally get back to the next book. I hope to publish it in mid-late January.
Book 6 is still kicking my ass, but I think I'm getting control of it. Look for it in March.

ReplyDeletePlease keep it up loving everything (just and idea to help the world other than solar power. Clean water maybe future tech Seawater Desalination and RO filter) could be worth some money to the 3rd World and Southern California
ReplyDeleteThere is a larger market for these types of books than there are quality authors to provide books. Not sure how familiar you are with it, but there is a 'Kingdom Building' sub genre, which is commonly posted on sites like Royal Road. The only other author that comes to mind who writes quality books similar to yours on Amazon is Laurence Dahners, and more recently Robert M. Kerns. There is also M Sisa who writes books a bit different but still similar and in the same general genre, however he started writing his series on Royal Road, then transitioned to selling on Amazon.
ReplyDeleteBob, I was just checking out tour "Delphi in Space" series and couldn't believe what a terrible narrator you chose to read. Just listening to the audio clip on Audible made me cringe. Jessica sounds like a robot. How could you not realize after the first book that this was not the narrator you needed. Did you even look at the reviews on Audible? Anyway I guess I don't have to tell you I'll be skipping the Delphi in Space series. To bad because I like Space Scifi.
ReplyDeletePretty sure authors have no say in narrators. You are far better off complaining to Audible.
DeleteThe narrator is very talented. Some people complain, especially if they've read a few books first and have the voices cemented in their head. And some expect to hear a TV style soap opera on the book which most would find untenable.
DeleteEveryone has their preferences.
