I'm 1500 words into book 9. It looks daunting, 70,000+ is the goal.
Funny how before the stay at home order, I preferred to stay home and write, now I've got cabin fever.
Book 6 becomes available for preorder in three days and available on the 21st. book 7 is in the final edit round, and book 8 got by the beta reader without major change. I should be raring to go on book 9. At least I have the plot:).
Maybe I need to social distance myself from the news.

I've never seen an author that is as open as you. I like the fact that you actually talk about books being made, rather than just making them here and there without saying much other than "almost done" or "going good", and instead say pretty much exactly how far along the book is.

DeleteAfter failing to communicate with readers for 2 months, you finally announce the new book will be released in 3 days. Four days later, the book pops up on Amazon, only to show it won't actually be available for another 2 weeks. Sorry Bob, you just lost a reader. I would recommend you streamline your process to improve communication frequency and accuracy.
ReplyDeleteRead the Delphi series over the weekend and finished the stone series last night. Good reads, waiting for the next volume. With the can't go anywhere in place I was looking for something to kill time the cover caught my eye. Next thing I know I'm searching for books by Bob....
ReplyDeleteI like the Delphi series very much, awaiting book 7 and 8. I await the next Stone series books as well. I consider you one of the up and coming Sci/Fi authors with a good cast of characters. More on the aliens is expected with the exploration of new worlds and the advent of FTL space travel. I am not sure of the Gravity drives need for specific distance from a source (sun, planet, solar system?) but it is a FTL drive no worse than many authors use and does not detract from the main plot of the Delphi universe and characters. I also feel that many governments have idiots in charge of policy and history and facts will probably out weigh the media idiots and their political agendas.
